There was another support band for Blood Red Shoes on Sunday and they were called Slaves who are a two piece garage punk band form Kent. They made a hell of a lot of noise for a twosome - much like DZ Deathrays and of course Blood Red Shoes themselves. The music was raw and fast and the lyrics were delivered with humour. The band had everyone in the palm of their hands from the minute they stepped on stage. They reminded me of UK Subs meets X-Ray Spex (for the lyrics) with a bit of Stooges. Well worth a listen. Check out their tunes - http://slavesuk.bandcamp.com/ . I bought their limited edition 7" picture disc tour single with 'Beauty Quest' on side A and 'Girlfight' on side B. 'Girlfight' was an awesome song complete with a full explanation of the actuall girl fight in question, epic. Check them out on Youtube, 'Where's your car Debbie' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vOVfdTjdNY.
